VoIP Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Engineer

We are currently searching for a OmniPCX Engineer to work at one of our client in Washington DC. This person will be reporting to the VoIP solution manager and have a very good understanding of Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise System (OXE), Omnivista 4760, wireless DECT solution, Omnitouch Contact Center (CCD) Standard and Premium edition ( GCE) in release 8.x or 9.x , My Instant communicator, Callxpress 7.9x or 8.x, and RightFax server.

The ideal candidate should be able to design and support our customer VoIP system, as well as assist in installation process.

Alcatel-Lucent Advanced Certification is mandatory ( at least 2 ACFE).

The ideal candidate must have minimum of 5 years experiences within Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX working hands on with the system.

 

Job duties includes:

• Assist on a daily basis the VoIP solution manager with troubleshooting tickets and system maintenance/administration tasks within the VoIP area ( IPPBX and related applications).

• Conduct VoIP Implementation by using his unique and special knowledge of ALCATEL-LUCENT's OMNIPCX Solution to ensure successful design, development and support of the OMNIPCX and other Enterprise communications applications.

• Provide technical leadership in technical solution/installation/design.

• Execute standard interoperability test as well as functional testing on a regular basis to ensure system operation.

• Install, configure and maintain an OmniPCX Enterprise in a standalone or network configuration

• Mentor Technicians.

• Conduct some training session and course developments for some business units if needed .

 

Required Experience & Skills

Must have a Bachelor Degree (Master degree will be preferred) in network and telecommunications or in engineering or in computer science.

Must have at least 5 years of overall telecommunications Experience.

• Must have at least 5 years of experience with Alcatel-Lucent VoiP

• Experiences with Alcatel-Lucent PBX (OXE release 8.x or 9.x), callxpress Voicemail 7.9 or 8 x and my Instant Communicator or Myteamwork are mandatory.

• Experience with Omnivista 4760 is mandatory

High problem analysis and troubleshooting skills are required.

• Alcatel-Lucent ACFE ( The intermediary advanced Alcatel-Lucent certifications) certifications are required.

• Knowledge in Alcatel-Lucent Contact Center Premium edition or GCE ( Genesis Compact Edition) is a plus.
