Job Title: Sr. Oracle DBA

Work location: Deerfield IL

Duration:  1 Month (with possible extension)

 

10% *Install/Configure Oracle 11g

20% *Prepare Upgrade Plan and Test Plan

50% *Create Test Schemas and execute conversion

20% *Test back up / recovery procedures and monitoring utilities

 

 

• Strong experience working with Oracle 11g in the Pharmaceuticals industry. Data Warehouse experience is a must.

• Proven track record of upgrade form Oracle 9 / 10 to 11g

Successful implementation of 11G features to ease database management and enhance the performance.

• Strong experience in guiding Data Stage developers to optimize and tune ETL processes.

Strong experience working with BI team to design and tune Cognos cubes and upgrade the Cognos repository to 11G

• Experience creating high-level technical specifications for use by resources and for knowledge transfer

• Innovative, self-motivated, delivery focused and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills with peers and users.

• Able to work individually and across globally diversified virtual technology teams.

• Strong interpersonal, client service, oral and written communications, organizational, and task management skills.

• Ability to work effectively with clients, and management and its staff members.

• Sound judgment and tact.

• Participates in programs or processes

• Assists with program/process administration

Contact with peers and direct supervisor. Information explanation

• Limited cross-functional interaction. Information exchange.

Establishes objectives and defines procedures

• Provide accurate and timely estimates to the project manager to ensure timely resolution

• Modifies and enhances procedures within broad guidelines.

• Makes choices from diversified and complex procedures.

• May require judgment or interpretation of established instructions/guidance
