Description

This is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) developer positions in C#/.net. You have had at least three successful years at a large financial institution doing similar work in fixed income cash or have developed areas of significant technical and/or financial expertise. (It you dont have finance experience you should at least have worked in a medium size organization like insurance, automobile). You have been exposed to trade capture and have worked on trading GUI projects specially trade capture and post processing. Kudos if you are intimately familiar with the MBS trade capture and post processing.

You should also be comfortable operating in multi-functional teams and debating the merits of competing technology and operational choices in a frank and open manner. You have a can-do, go-to-person persona and an open, enthusiastic attitude and positive leadership tendencies.

REQUIRED:
2+ Years for GUI development using C#/.net framework 3.5/4
4+ Years of C# on Windows .NET Framework 3.5/4.0 and MS .NET Visual Studio 2005 or later Environment
5+ Years of Application Development work experience
5+ Years of design, coding, testing and debugging skills
5+ Years experience in a client server environment
4+ Years of experience in Building GUI based application using .NET C# APIs and .NET Libraries
3+ Years of experience in 3-Tire/N-Tire architecture
1+ Year of experience in 29West, MQ Series or Similar Message Communication Architecture
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, debugging in Windows and .NET Visual Studio IDE environment
Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
Good understanding of Fixed Income Securities Processing
Background in systems project life cycle with emphasis on C#, Windows, Sybase, performance tuning or similar knowledge required.
Experience with data management, relational, or object-oriented systems
Good Communication skills (written and oral) is MUST.

Multithreading in Windows
C++ or .NET C++
Perl
Window Batch programming
Unix
Sybase Development. (If not Sybase, SQL programming)
Application Support work experience (troubleshooting production issues, solving problems, and implementation of production software)
Demonstrate experience in effective decision making within a high pressured environment
Ability to communicate at multiple levels across Application Development and the business
Ability to identify and clearly communicate problems/support requests in order to influence the prioritization of production defects and/or enhancements
