ROLE: Senior Java Developer with .Net Expertise

DURATION: 8 MONTHS

RATE: $ 60.00/hr

LOCATION: CHICAGO, Illinois

Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations.

The candidate must have at least 6 years of experience of application design and development using .Net and Java technologies. Advanced experience in Web Services, Java, C#, Javascript, CSS, HTML, SQL, Spring, Hibernate, .NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Eclipse and Visual Studio 2010. Experience integrating applications with Microsoft Excel is desired. Knowledge of structured development approaches and ability to implement competent object oriented (OO) principles. Experience developing stored procedures. Effective analytical skills and ability to assist in gathering requirements. Ability to prepare or contribute to project lifecycle documentation (e.g., SDLC documentation). Complete understanding of n-tier architecture (presentation, business, and data).

Responsibilities:
Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications
Examine applications to ensure adherence to Application Engineering guidelines, processes and procedures
Utilize multiple programming languages and software technologies to ensure applications are suitably fit for use and admissible for maintenance/upgrades
Test, modify, and implement application code; make standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support and industry standards
Evaluate service level issues and suggested enhancements escalated by Service Delivery Team to diagnose and address underlying system problems and inefficiencies
