PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Writes computer programs for high-throughput, high-transaction, and scalable J2EE production systems.
Extends existing or develops new code.
Thoroughly tests unit test code for all contingencies outlined in the requirements documentation.
Checks code and communicates task status in a timely manner.
Assists operations team to troubleshoot code/data issues in testing and production environments.
Supports the analysis, design, development, testing, and production support of customer integrations.
Collaborates with business analyst and development team to integrate different perspectives into technical specifications and documentation. Translates business and technical requirements into extensible, scalable, and maintainable applications.
Designs and implements an efficient solution that meets the functional requirements and is extensible and easily maintained.
Develops and defines design choices for software developers, including platforms, coding, and testing.
Develops proof of concepts and prototypes to be used as baselines for specific software development projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
$ Masters degree in computer science or computer engineering, plus three years of experience as a Java Developer using J2EE.
Will also accept a bachelor's degree in the same fields plus three years of experience as a Java Developer.
$ Experience must include the following technologies: JMS, JBoss, Jrun, and JavaScript; database technologies including MS SQL Server; and Web technologies including HTML/CSS, XML.
