Resource Role: Data Architect
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 6 - 9 Months

Description:
Looking for a Data Architect, with designing and modeling database experience, working with Java Developers and database administrators (as part of the SDLC process), in transforming logical to physical model
Review and analyze SQL code used in application working with developers and provide recommendation and optimization options for optimal performance
Responsible for Modeling the Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models of new and existing database structures
Define and document the existing data architecture through analysis and reverse engineering
Extract reports from databases as required and needed
Developing and documenting definitions for all entities and attributes in every data model
Develop release documents and scripts necessary of a release owning the data model associated with the release.
Create DDL/DML scripts for physical implementation of the databases
Design and present data architecture to management and leads
Perform data quality, consistency, integrity reviews and create a report for improvements


Required Skills:
Hands on experience with Data Modeling and Design tools (such as ERwin) is a must
Experience with RDBMS technologies, preferably Oracle
Performance of tuning of OLTP, and
Expert at Structured Query Language – both DDL and DML
Ability to lead and facilitate design sessions with developers, business analysts and end users
Expert in complex Normalization, De-Normalization and Dimensional Data Modeling Design and Development required
Able to rationalize when Normalization/De-normalization needed during the data design process
Expert level of data model analysis, design and development experience required
Strong written and verbal communications skill

Nice To Have:
Oracle Database Administration, Systems Administration, Unix shell scripting,
