Job Description
Client is looking for customer-oriented, analytical and driven individuals. Client’s has a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment and will require flexibility to roll up sleeves to participate in various roles to deliver success!
The BI Analytics Business Analyst will be responsible for working with key business customers and IT teams to deliver Business Intelligence projects to support Client’s growing business with optimized systems/processes.
The role will be responsible for supporting Global teams working with colleagues and stakeholders who are spread across different GEO’s such as Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Direct stakeholder engagement with business teams and management of stakeholder relationships
· Proactively engage with stakeholders regarding critical business intelligence needs
· Perform data analysis – identifying trends and key drivers of metrics
· Create in-depth business requirements across a variety of business functions, such as Sales, Professional Services, Global Support, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Legal
· Prototype reports and dashboards to meet and exceed stakeholder requirements
· Develop expertise on various data sources
· Develop expertise on business processes, life-cycles, and drivers
· Provide input to BI development team on requirements and enhancements to existing data sets and reporting technologies
· Participate on global project teams – provide reporting and data analysis support
· Provide overall Business Intelligence & Reporting support as needed
· Collaborate on the definition of KPIs and metrics
· Lead reporting projects, taking ownership of successful completion
· Support communication, training, and documentation to enable successful user adoption
Required Skills and Experience:
· Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in Business Analysis, Requirements Development, and solutions implementation of Business Intelligence Solutions
· Technical knowledge and experience working with the industry leading BI tools (e.g. Essbase, OBIEE, Microsoft BI, Business Objects, or Cognos – strong preference for Oracle and Microsoft BI experience)
· Proficient in MS Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
· Understanding of the primary business functions in a Software organization, such as Sales, Professional Services, Renewals, Customer Advocacy, and Global Support. Implementation of Business Intelligence solutions for these areas.
· Clear, professional, and concise communications (written/verbal), presentation and facilitation skills. Must have combination of excellent communication skills (including presentation skills) and Technical skills
· Must be able to use consultative approach and persuasive communication with stakeholders
· Ability to take initiative and to set priorities independently
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, preference for Computer Science or Business Administration
