Position: System Administrator with Heavy VMware
Duration-1 year
Location-Brooklyn,NY
Face to Face Required...!!!
Experience with VMware ESX, backup, recovery, and clustering
Applied knowledge of system security and best practices
Active working knowledge of Bash (advanced scripting experience a plus)
Experience with any Subversion platform
SAN/NAS (NetApp)
Active working knowledge of OSI networking model, LDAP, routing, ARP, DNS, and VPN
Experience with database platforms (i.e. PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Interbase, Firebird, SQLite, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Experience with automated monitoring of systems and network equipment (experience with the following software/technologies preferred: Nagios, Syslog, Splunk, Cactl and SNMP) is a plus
Experience with Cisco network equipment (IOS, ASA) is desired
Experience with VPN troubleshooting is desired
Experience with Java application deployment and maintenance with JRockit, Tomcat and JBoss is desired
Experience with reverse proxying web servers is a plus
Experience with NSD is a plus
Experience with Windows 2003 AD, GPOs, automated software installation, and Linux auth integration is desired
Experience with Apache, JBoss or Oracle Application Server configuration and/or maintenance is desired
Bachelor's degree in related area and 3-5 years experience preferred
Will accept 6-8 years of experience in lieu of degree
Linux certification, including familiarity with Debian, Ubuntu and Red Hat
