| · Responsible for IBM Storage architecture and design for 24x7x365 global operation · Experience in IBM TSM tools implementation, management and administration · Hands on experience in maintaining and Administering IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center (TSPC) · Strong applied knowledge of architecture, Storage devices, databases, reporting tools, middleware, security, monitoring and high availability systems · Be responsible for the maintenance and currency of documentation specific to their role, their team and the responsibilities they have. · Adherence to Managed Operating Environment process and procedures. · Provide regular project/task status updates to the team, team lead and Manager as required. · Escalate problems as per team guidelines to Team Leader and/or manager · Requirements analysis/documentation for application level functionality tailoring/customizations · Protecting and ensuring the availability of all tools around the clock. · Monitoring, Supporting and Troubleshooting on the different monitoring Agents in the Endpoints for ITM installed nodes · Prioritizing, Planning, Resolving and tracking of Tasks, Work requests, Maintenance and Support activities. · Technical certifications in 2-3 of the IBM Tivoli tools · ITIL certifications such as ITIL V2 or V3 Foundations will be a plus · Excellent written and oral communications skills · Provide technical support to project\account. Own and action requests for service, implementing changes and resolving assigned problems (may involve some after hours and weekend work). · Provide 24x7 after hours on call support as required · Escalate product problems via official product support line (Tivoli Brand) · Attend and actively participate in weekly review meetings with the team leader and/or manager to discuss issues, concerns, people, ideas and workload. · Be a focal point in a technical and client advocate capacity and ensure other team members are mentored to enable smooth succession of previous account. · Assist wider team performing the level 1 -2 capability, potentially off-shore or remote locations · TSM and Storage Skills. · TSM schedules troubleshoot, BA troubleshooting. · Storage SAN infrastructure, know how. · SAN zoning Concepts, Raid types, disk technologies, hierarchical storage etc. · Storage Virtualization concepts. · Hands on any of the following Storage systems IBM DS4k, 5k, 8K Series, XIV. · Hands on IBM storage virtualization concepts ( SVC, MDISK) · Lanfree/LAN, TDP backups Exchange, Oracle, DB2, MSSQL, FCM backups. · FCM backups, snap failure, upload troubleshooting. · Experience on Exchange, DB2 TDP based backups is preferred. · Exposure to Tape Technologies, IBM TL 3584, Storage tek STL8000, TL3520 preferred. · Good understanding of client server technology, working in mixed platform. · Understand support activities, SLA driven approach is preferred, Exposure to Ticketing Systems.
