Location: Cupertino, CA.

Duration: 6+ Months

 

i.            Job Description:

Qualifications Basic

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education

8+ years experiencewith Hadoop\Hive

Preferred

·         The successful candidate should have 8+ years experience in large-scale software development, with at least 2-3 years in Hadoop

·         Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills, particularly those that apply to a "Big Data" environment

·         Deep understanding and related experience with Hadoop stack - internals, HBase, Hive, Pig and Map/Reduce

·         Deep understanding of schedulers, workload management, availability, scalability and distributed data platforms

·         Extensive experience building and designing large-scale distributed applications

·         Expert knowledge developing and debugging in Java/J2EE

·         Proven experience in Object Oriented Design and Development

·         Sound knowledge of Relational Databases (RDBMS), SQL & No-SQL databases

·         Experience with agile/scrum methodologies to iterate quickly on product changes, developing user stories and working through backlogs
