Job Title: Sr. Oracle DBA

Job Description:

This position will support Enterprise Oracle databases that provide critical services to customers throughout the state. This support includes pursuing consolidation and standardization in order to provide for more reliable and supportable services running on IBM AIX. Work on the process of consolidation and standardization requires significant interaction with and negotiation with representatives from multiple agencies and vendors with the potential of resolving conflicts and helping those parties to reach consensus.

We are looking for candidates with a work history that demonstrates the following: 

 

• Experience tuning Oracle in an UNIX environment.

• Experience installing and patching Oracle databases in an UNIX environment.

• Experience installing and upgrading Oracle Gateway products.

• Experience installing and upgrading Oracle WebLogic.

• Knowledge and ability to perform OAS to WebLogic conversions.

• Experience in the operational support of Oracle installations in a UNIX environment.

• Strong technical analytical skills in a data-center environment.

• The ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical customers.
