Web Developer

Duties: 

Must be in proximity to Richmond,Virginia or Washington D.C. (possibly Heathrow, FL.) 

SYMANTEC has a high end technical services/support offering called Business Critical Services (BCS). BCS is an organization within SYMANTEC that provides the highest level of technical support and services to the top enterprise customers who purchase a premium contract. BCS is highly visible within the executive team at SYMANTEC due to the program’s high success in customer satisfaction and revenue protection. 

This engineer will be part of an infrastructure team, developing the web portal front-end that supports reporting services that are delivered through BCS’s Managed Backup Service (MBS). The engineer develops and maintains web presentation layer.



A high energy level, the ability to set and achieve individual goals, and great interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Skills: 

4+ years of experience as a web/software developer
Demonstrated passion for quality, innovative approach to solving problems and customer-first attitude are required.
Strong analytical thinking skill, and ability to analyze and optimize existing software applications for purpose of maintenance or redesign.
Proficient in MSSQL, C#, ASP.NET, CSS, HTML5, Java Script, jQuery
Responsive Design and 320 and up
Should have good skills in SQL
Experienced with software development in a Microsoft IDE environment
Secure coding experience
Has a working knowledge of basic networking technologies

Should be familiar with current topics on:

MVC, MVVM, Web Authentication/Authorization, AJAX proxy, UX design, odat
Databases:MS SQL Libraries:Jquery, bootstrap, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Windows Identity Foundation (WIF)

Education: 

Requires a Masters or Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Mathematics.
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills in English
