PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works closely with Business Analysts in understanding business requirements. Gathers input from SME (subject mater experts) and assist in finalizing functional designs.
Translates business requirements to technical specification and develops comprehensive technical solutions.
Understand, design and create technical configurations using Windchill, ProE and MS Office based technologies. Expected to perform advanced coding using Java, JSP, SQL.
Support production of written technical specifications to capture development designs; assist in the creation of clear customer requirements, as needed.
Collaborate with IT management, IT Project leads and other Architect as lead developer for Windchill-based technologies.
Support root cause analysis, and provides lessons learned feedback.
Professionally interact and nurture relationships with customers and cross-functional colleagues.
Clearly demonstrate an ability to work without immediate supervision.
Understand enterprise architecture environments including details of PTC PLM application suite, visualization (CreoView), internet security protocols, application performance tuning, and database performance tuning.
Work with on-shore and off-shore development teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A four year degree in MIS, CA, Engineering or Business Administration with
6 to 8 years of experience, or 8 to 10 years of experience without a degree.
3+ years on Web Sphere technologies and middleware (need refinement here)
4 years' experience in software development inusing Java, JSP, and SQL.
Experience using UML; has deep understanding of the Windchill object model and database relationships.
Source code management experience; CVS/MKS preferred.
Prior experience in a technical leadership role.
Demonstrate strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical and troubleshooting skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Good human relation skills to be able to develop a cooperative working relationship with individuals inside and outside the department.
