This individual will be responsible for project management of Minnesota Licensing and Registration System (MNLARS) implementation (on-time, to specification and within budget parameters) and as such will provide oversight to project management activities of the MNLARS system vendor (Hewlett Packard) as well as coordination and project management of the multiple supporting sub-projects and work streams, which may or may not have their own project manager. The individual will be a member of the MNLARS Management team responsible for the project integration management, time management (schedule), quality management, and issue management. She/he will be ultimately responsible for development and maintenance of the project detail work breakdown structure, including the complete resource allocation(s). In addition to the above, the contractor, jointly with other MNLARS Management Team members, will be actively involved in scope management, risk management, and communications management. This individual must possess good knowledge of project management methods and techniques used to develop complex information systems, including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations and run team meetings. This individual must also possess strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills. This individual should have demonstrated ability to assume a leadership role in managing project, departmental and enterprise risks related to projects, systems and business analysis as well as a demonstrated ability to motivate staff/project team, inspire teamwork and take a leadership role. This individual must have the ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects and manage/collaborate with multiple project and/or resource managers. Desired Skills Include: * PMP Certification * Strong interpersonal skills * Strong problem solving skills * Strong decision making skills * Strong conflict resolution skills Required Skills to included those listed below and ten (10) years experience in facilitating team meetings.
