We have an urgent requirement of  Senior Oracle DBA with one of our direct client.

 

Position: Sr Oracle DBA

Duration: 3-6 months

Location: Des Moines Iowa

Interviews: By phone

 

Responsibilities:

 

Data analysis and database management, maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning. Coordinate physical changes to computer data bases; and codes, tests, and implements physical data base, applying knowledge of data base management system.

 

Required Skills:

Must have 8-10 years experience in each of the following:

· Oracle 11

· Monitor Database Performance

· Perform Database backups to disk, from tape and perform tape backups

· Ability to manage multiple environments for development, test and production

· Address Hardware Issues

· Apply Oracle Patches and Upgrades

· Perform Database Refresh and Restores

· Monitoring & managing tablespace size, available disk space on the servers and general database health checks

· Monitor Database Performance by scanning the Oracle Data Dictionaries for each day and know the problem SQLs.

· Query Performance tuning
