Job Description:
This position will be responsible for planning and implementing the next generation Experian Digital Workspace (DWP) including the global Intranet, collaboration sites, and enterprise social platform. This role will be instrumental in developing Sharepoint and intranet Web sites, creating re-usable components, building page templates, prototyping new technologies, and establishing best practices and standards. Successful execution will require a strong understanding of Web and content management technologies, front-end and backend software development, and user training and documentations. You will be collaborating and working across several teams and business groups throughout Experian to deliver scalable and re-usable technology solutions.
- Actively interface with other team members and teams to gather requirements, design, code, debug, document, and implement.
- Effective design and development of front-end components using Javascript, CSS, XML, ASP.Net, and HTML.
- Design and develop Web sites, site templates, and Sharepoint Web Parts and components within Sharepoint and other content management platform.
- Research, prototype, recommend, and champion new software and technologies.
- Establish and communicate technical specifications, coding standards, best practices, and training documentations.
- Lead other junior developers or graphics designers on Web development projects.
- Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented and able to work independently.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 year experience in Web development (JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, HTML, XML, C#, ASP.Net)
- Experience with Sharepoint 2010+, Sharepoint Designer, and content management system
- Experience with SQL, XML, XSLT, and data transformation
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Experience with wire-framing and user design concepts
- Experience with graphic tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming
- Experience / familiarity with both waterfall and agile principles/methodologies
- Successful history of Web or Intranet projects delivered
- Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects under tight constraints
- Team player, self-starter & goal oriented
- Familiar with a variety of the web and desktop technology concepts, practices, and procedures
Skills Preferred but Not Required:
- Prior experience administering and optimizing Sharepoint 2010 Server, IIS 6.0/7.0, and Team Foundation Server a plus
