JOB:  SQL Server Developer
Location:  Berkley Heights, NJ
Duration:  4 months
 
Please note this is a technical position for a MS SQL Developer (SSIS, BI, SSAS, SSRS):
This is a role in the reporting group. The reporting group is responsible for exporting, cleansing, and converting data from transactional database and migrate it into a central data warehouse for reporting purposes. In this position you will work with architects to design and implement optimized data models and help to design easy to use OLAP cubes with varying underlying complexities

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
1. Analyze user requirements and conceptualize new solutions.
2. Design and Develop SQL Server Integration packages for data acquisition from source systems
3. Design and develop Reports using SQL Server Reporting Services.
4. Develop data cubes based on SSAS for financial data reporting purposes.
5. Perform Unit Test and QA.
6. Participate in code review / peer review.
7. Understand and adhere to company standards and policies.
8. Create, extend and maintain SSIS ETL scripts that are high quality and robust and document and communicate designs and implementation details
9. Have a solid understanding of software architectures, software lifecycle methodology, secure coding standards, OO principles, test driven development, iterative development and continuous integration

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of experience in the following skill sets:
• SQL Server 2005 / 2008 / R2 / 2012 Database Design and Development
• Star Schemas, Fact Dimensional Modeling, MDX queries
• SSRS 2005/ 2008 – Reporting Services Design / Development
• SSIS 2005 / 2008 – Integration Services Design / Development
• SSAS – Analysis Services
• MDX Querying / Coding
• Cube Design / Development
• Build, deploy and Performance Tune cubes on SSAS.
• 2012 Dashboards and Reporting
• T-SQL / Stored Procedures
• Joins / Indexes / Views / Tables / Functions / Triggers, etc.
• Design / Develop Reporting Portals
• Manage Subscriptions / Delivery Methods
• File Sharing
• Scalable / Reusable ETL Components
• Complex Business Logic
• C# / ASP.NET 3.5 / 4.0 Development
• Microsoft TFS and Visual Studio 2012
