Job Title : Principal Consultant (Oracle Hyperion Planning / HFM / Essbase (ASO)) - Oracle BI Practice
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration : Contract
What will you do?
• Lead the engagement effort at different stages from requirements gathering to business analysis, high level design, development / configuration, testing and deployment.
• Understand the requirements specifications and identify gaps between Hyperion Planning / HFM / Essbasefunctionality and the required functionality.
• Design the solution based on the identified gaps and validate the design.
• Oversee and coordinate the offshore development effort and guide the team in complex designs. Conduct code reviews for the developed code for identifying noncompliance to best practices and conventions.
• Accountable for quality & completeness of client delivery on Financials projects.
• Ensure that the expectation has been set clearly regarding Hyperion tool's capabilities and limitations to business users.
• Liaise with transactional source teams to get information related to various attributes and entities to be exposed in the data warehouse.
• Provide regular status update to all the stake holders regarding the status of the project highlighting any dependencies and risks in timely manner.
What do we require?
• Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Computer Science or Equivalent qualification.
• Management Degree an asset.
• Around 8-10 years of work experience in IT project development with main focus on Hyperion Planning, HFM and Essbase
• Excellent Financial Planning / Consolidation domain expertise with hands on experience on Hyperion Planning / HFM
• Minimum of 2 full lifecycle implementations of Hyperion planning / HFM / Essbase and around 5-7 years of working knowledge in Hyperion Products
• Sound knowledge of Essbase principals (ASO and BSO)
• Expertise in data migration and integration aspects pertaining to Financials implementation.
• Proven track record in IT Consulting / Hyperion architecture / solution delivery.
• Good understanding of IT delivery methodologies.
• Exposure to the Service Industry domain an asset.
• Excellent communication / presentation / verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to drive customer discussions independently and act as trusted advisor.
• Strong ability to develop / groom a team of Consultants / Senior Consultants for an engagement and work in an onsite-offshore team environment - sharing ideas and working collaboratively.
• Strong ability to take bottom line responsibility.
• Self-starter
• This role requires flexibility to relocate within the United States
