Location is Irving, Texas

Position will primarily be a SME (Subject Matter Expert) on all Client based IMS core such as CSCF, HSS, OneNDS to work at customer lab.   The person will  work in customer lab to support  CSCF, HSS and Once NDS components. This position needs good knowledge of operating systems, integration and testing support,  SIP and Diameter protocols and cross functional work experience to facilitate support of multiple IMS cores.   Primary Responsibilities:     Individual performs daily engineering functions, and work with different vendors on interoperability testing with NSN equipments. Also need to provide professional services necessary to support new installations and growth of the  NSN IMS Core components such as CSCF, HSS, OneNDS, AAA in the Lab.   Must have previous engineering or hands-on experience gained from working with a production IMS Core. It will be the candidate's responsibility to maintain a stable and secure IMS core environment for lab tests to take place.   The IMS Engineer will be responsible for multiple time-constrained projects, and may have responsibilities extending beyond the immediate IMS core to cover lab projects related to 4G LTE call flows.   The candidate will provide Management and the lab team with project statuses on an as needed basis.   The IMS Engineer will also need to audit the lab's IMS core components for alarming, configuration inconsistencies and optimization.   As configuration problems are discovered this engineer will need to provide guidance to the team to resolve these issues.   The individual must interface with multiple vendors, project teams and resources. This includes knowledge of various policies, procedures and technical requirements for each of the vendors and platforms.   The Individual makes important decisions without guidance from their supervisor on a daily/weekly basis regarding equipment development and support.

Education and qualifications: BS in Engineering, computer science, or equivalent discipline Experience: 3-5 years Network Engineering and telecommunications, with significant leadership experience. •  2 years of operating systems administration (Solaris/Linux/Unix) experience •  Previous data networking experience including knowledge of Juniper and Cisco Routers, Switches and Load Balancers. •  Hands-on experience with configuring TCP/IP (IPv4) and IPv6 on servers and applications. Other •  Must have strong understanding of the 4G LTE call flow, including call authentication, registration, and billing. •  Must have knowledge of CSCF, HSS and Once NDS components. •  Knowledge of databases, web-based applications, and software tool packages. •  Knowledge of Solaris and ATCA platform. •   Strong network design, configuration and troubleshooting skills required •  Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply working knowledge of wireless engineering on new projects. •  Must be self starter, show initiative, and be able to work independently or as a team member. •  Solid understanding of Information Systems technologies and architecture. •  Strong understanding of the OSI Protocol stack (TCP/IP) concept •  Strong analytical and problem solving skills •  Strong interpersonal skills (customer contact) •  Good verbal and written communications skills •  Ability to follow established guidelines, policies, and procedures •  Ability to work in a high-pressure dynamic environment and adjust to priority changes •  Ability to work flexible hours. •  Motivated and able to work well in a team environment.
