Description - Sr Oracle Apps DBA
Local preferred to keep cost down but if the perfect senior level resource with outstanding communications skills is available we will get the interview.
Responsibilities:
• Many projects with Oracle EBS and Databases (Oracle RAC and from 11.i to R12
• Strong background having done performance tuning and testing.
• Maintain and apply patches for Oracle EBS suite databases.
• Build EBS and Clone to various non-production database regularly
• Monitor system availability and performance of the applications running on Oracle EBS using scripts or OEM grid control
• Review all documentation on SOPs and architecture of existing systems to ensure it is optimize
• Provide support to development/QA with tuning SQL statements
• Review the status of High Availability and DR systems for EBS and non-EBS applications
• Document and test various RMAN backup and recovery scenarios
• Maintain OEM 11g Grid Control and support OEM 12C installation
Qualifications:
• BS/Engineering in Computer Science
• Overall 10-15 years of IT experience
• 5 plus years as Oracle application DBA support eBusiness Suite 11i and R12 release
• 10 years as core Oracle DBA
Additional Skills:
• Solid Oracle Applications DBA skills, installing, cloning, applying maintenance packs and family packs
• Solid troubleshooting and performance tuning skills especially SQL tuning
• Solid knowledge of Oracle utilities such as autoconfig, adpatch, adadmin, adpreclone, import/export, FND tools, etc.
• Expertise in working with High volume, and High Transaction databases
• Expertise of scheduling tool such as and its scripting to automate and schedule various routine maintenance tasks
• Capable of supporting and implementing new or changed applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment and also able to drive the project independently
• Ability to multitask and comfortable with changing priorities
