Position: SQL DBA

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Duration: 6 months

 

JD:

5+ years on SQL Server database Administration (Primary Skill) Also using tools like Litespeed and Idera Diagnostic Manager, SQL Sentry, Foglight

Hands on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining and monitoring Microsoft SQL Server. Worked on  implementing backup and recovery strategies

Worked in high availability solutions like clustering, logshipping, mirroring etc

Good troubleshooting skills

Worked on Database Servers Microsoft SQL Server 2005,2008, R2/2012

Worked on OS Windows 2008, 2012 Preferred

Production monitoring and support for SQL Server environment

Applying patches released by Microsoft  to upgrade the databases to the new release levels

Implement and test backup and recovery strategies in Production, Test and Development environments

Management Reporting

Analytical and Communication skills. Sufficient exposure to ITIL framework

 

Preferred

At least 2 years of experience in Business Process Consulting, problem definition, Architecture/Design /Detailing of Processes

At least 2 years of experience in Development/ Configuration/solutions evaluation/ Validation and deployment

At least 4 years of experience in onsite/offshore communication model

Participated in Disaster Recovery Tests for the databases

Participated in Performance Tuning of Queries/ Databases

Experience on SSIS& SSRS environments

Upgrade/Migration of SQL Server environment from 2000 to 2008 /2005 to 2008 R2 / 2008 R2 to 2012

Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel
