Title: Interactive Developer - Site Development - Level 2
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 8+ months
A Interactive Developer is responsible for developing interactive web based, mobile, and/or desktop applications using Flash best practices to deliver high value and quality to clients. The Developer will need to create interactivities as per specifications and be able to develop re-usable components. The person would work closely with Visual Designers and Application Developers to build highlyefficient, user-friendly, interfaces.
Responsibilities:
· Translate wireframes, comps, and functional requirements into functional xHTML /css/Javascript
· Develop standards compliant mark-up and code for web sites and applications
xHTML (table-less layouts)
CSS2 / CSS3
Object Oriented JavaScript / Jscript
· Recommend and Develop framework and code for mobile enabled sites using functionalities like geo locator compatible for iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Windows devices.
· Develop according to Sapient and Industry best practices
Search Engine Optimization
Progressive Enhancement
Accessibility (A, AA, AAA, Section 508)
Cross Browser
W3C
· Execute component design patterns according to Sapient and Industry best practices
· Implement complex Ajax framework to facilitate data exchange and writes DOM manipulation scripts to use the data to be represented on the front end.
· Develop Javascript using standard Frameworks
jQuery, dojo, Yahoo UI etc.
· Develop small custom JavaScript libraries for reuse across the application with:
Error handling
Namespacing
Memory management
· Integrate Social Media plug-ins and apis like FB, TW, YT etc
· Work on CMS based environment e.g. Stellent, Interwoven, Hybris/Endeca
· Use Sapient SA3 development methodology to track and deliver components.

· Data Interchange Define and parse valid data interchange structures to integrate with back end services
XML, JSON, CSV, etc
· Standard Project Tools Produce, re-purpose creative assets using toolsets like Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
· Use standard toolsets to develop, validate and test code
Dreamweaver / notepad ++ / editplus
Firefox – Developer toolbar / firebug / YSlow / Dynatrace
IE6, 7, 8 – Developer toolbar, Debug Bar
W3c Validator / Wave Accessibility Validator
