SKILLS:
Expert level knowledge and experience with Websphere MQ, messaging and integration patterns
8+ yrs of experience as MQ/Messaging Architect
Experience with Services Oriented Architectures (SOA) and solutions
Excellent technical writing and programming skills
IBM Certified System Administrator – WebSphere MQ Series
Experience working at a large organization is needed, financial institution experience preferred

MAJOR DUTIES:
Determine and/or recommend appropriate (synchronous/asynchronous) Integration patterns
Provide leadership in the establishment of standards, best practices, and SDLC for all projects
Work with key partners and provide them information on how MQ/messaging supports the business goals and roadmaps
Develop plans for optimization of MQ/Messaging architecture and infrastructure at Northern Trust
Lead selected major MQ related projects, driving sound technical solutions from envisioning to stabilization
Responsible for timely and accurate completion of other tasks as defined by the IT Middleware Manager
Participation in on call rotation as a level 3 resource to support the level 1 and 2 support teams
Provide technical analysis of requirements necessary for the protection of all information processed, stored, or transmitted by systems
