JAVA/ESB DEVELOPER ROLE

Role: Java / ESB Developer 

Location: : Smyrna, GA

Duration:6-12 month contract 

Interview: Telephonic/Face2Face

Java / ESB Developer

 

This person would work with the team implementing IBM Supply Chain Management systems.  Our client is currently replacing their legacy order management application and is using the ESB, Apache ServiceMix, as their primary integration tool. This person would be expected to learn the architecture, functions, and processes for both applications.

 

Primary Duties:

•        Work with the architects and other team members to develop and implement new business solutions. 

•        Deploy code and manage configuration changes. 

•        Troubleshoot issues.

•        Create appropriate documentation.

•        Work with the integration architect to implement a change management process to control the ESB environments and configurations.

•        Write scripts to aid with process control, monitoring, and alerting.

•        This person would need to be comfortable working with several other functional areas to deliver business solutions to meet the needs of our company. These functional groups would include business and quality analysts, vendors, the architecture and integration teams, system and database administrators, systems support, and occasionally the users, themselves.

Qualifications:

•        Medium to high level of proficiency with Java Programming and J2EE

•        Recent development experience with Apache ServiceMix or Camel (preferred) or some other ESB service oriented middleware tool.

•        Familiarity with EIP integration patterns and have technical proficiency with Unix, JBoss, Relational Databases, and XML.

•        Agile experience would be helpful.

•        Candidates with SOA, Ant, Maven, Eclipse, Spring will be given preference. 

•        Excellent technical and communication skills and a team oriented, self-motivated personality are required.

•        A successful candidate will need to have the desire to learn new skills and take on new challenges to meet the project goals. Be able to work independently and be able to proactively resolve issues.
