Description

Move currently has an opportunity for a Database subject matter expert to finding creative ways to assist to optimize our enterprise data! We are seeking two Senior DBEs to be our subject matter experts for SQL Server and Oracle DBs to provide input for all phases of database development and optimize our various databases. This includes CRM, Finance and web based databases. Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with enterprise data architect, internal developers and product managers regarding database requirements, data stability and other matters related to the databases Translate the business requirements of the product team into DB schemas, jobs, and other database products Work with teams throughout our enterprise to map data, migrate and sunset databases/systems Collaborate with enterprise DB team and DBAs to Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures for ensuring data integrity throughout the enterprise Team will work to design and develop database enterprise infrastructure, along with traditional database best practices to ensure that all database systems are operating efficiently and optimally Implement data models, database design, data access and table maintenance codes Strong knowledge of database performance tuning. Resolve database performance and capacity constraints Familiar with a variety of databases and database concepts, practices, and procedures As this Database Engineer will be the SME in the area of enterprise databases, a wide degree of creativity and latitude may be used in the design, development and maintenance processes Securely implement data caching to enable fast service to middleware and front end This position will require some travel Education, Skills and Experience: 10+ years experience in Database Design and Architecture (data models, database schemas, for large scale applications with high availability and reliability) Experience in enterprise CRM/ERP database environments Able to create conceptual, logical and physical data models Extensive experience with SQL Server and Oracle DB. Exposure to MySQL is a plus NoSQL (Mongo) database knowledge a plus Knowledge of Cloud/SaaS such as SalesForce Strong knowledge of SQL, and stored procedures & functions including complex joins, query performance, triggers and views Expert in dealing with storing various data structures such as images, star schemas and JSON arrays Expert in processing records sets in the millions Expert in creating and maintaining sandbox, dev and production DB Strong data mapping, data transfer, documentation and sharing skills Nice to haves – Some programming and scripting background in languages such as Python
