"Mortgage Banking Technology is seeking an Application Developer Lead; you will provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. You will utilize mature (3rd or 4th Generation) programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation. You will participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. You will participate in, and lead other developers thru, design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Additionally, you will document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/Enhance software application modules. You will participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation"
• Required 5+ years of experience:
- developing and debugging Oracle 11G stored procedures and various other objects
- developing batch programs using Perl and UNIX shell scripting to support the import of data into oracle database and export the data into external interfaces.
• Experience with
- Leading a team of less experienced developers
- writing and modifying SQL*LOADER, PL/SQL codes including Packages, Materialize Views, Nested tables, Triggers, and Functions
- scheduling tools such as Crontab and ControlM.
- performance tuning and creating indexes as a part of tuning for new and existing queries/code.
• Strong analytical skills and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications
• Excellent design, coding, testing and debugging skills
• Experience with version and revision control practices and procedures
• Detail oriented with a proven work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal skills, program implementation skills, written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience in the full software development and project lifecycle
• Highly motivated team player with ability to work as a Lead or independently.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to the emerging new technologies and toolsets.
• Ability to mentor less experienced developers and provides lead/guidance to help them "
