Required Performance Tester with Golden Gate exp - Edison, NJ

Position: Performance Engineer

Location: Edison, NJ

Duration: 6+ Months

1. Work collaboratively with Product Architects and Product organizations in defining performance NFRs.

2. Work collaboratively with Product Architects and Engineering organizations in the development of

performance testing strategy and test plans for the product.

3. Review and understand Non­Functional Requirements (NFRs) defined, map defined NFRs with product

release functionality from performance and scalability testing perspective.

4. Assist in the Oversight and Leadership of performance testing projects end to end.

5. Provide estimates and WBS for performance projects.

6. Execute test , analyze results and provide solutions to performance bottlenecks.

7. Collaborate with Leads/PMs to define technically feasible WBS on performance activities and be liaison from

performance projects.

8. Create and publish performance benchmark reports.

9. Might require working directly with the customer in resolution of the performance issues in their environment.

10. Review and Recommend Oracle DB tuning/optimization steps to improve Product performance

11. Providing innovative solutions to improve the product performance life cycle management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Advanced Computer Science Degree preferred.

Hands ­on experience in Oracle DB Performance monitoring/tuning.

Active MQ (configuration and performance monitoring/tuning) experience

Oracle Golden Gate Replication (configuration and performance monitoring/tuning) experience

Familiarity with UNIX/C (Core Product language)

Hands on experience in executing, monitoring, analyzing and creating benchmark reports.

Good understanding/exposure to various industry standard stacks and hands on using those for performance test

execution and monitoring.

Good understanding/exposure on web servers (IBM IHS, IIS, Apache etc.), application servers(WebSphere, JBOSS

etc.) and Database servers (Oracle, DB2…)

Expert level, hands on experience on Solaris/Unix

Knowledge of database high­availability techniques (e.g. log shipping vs. triggers, synchronous vs. asynchronous,

active/passive vs. active/active)

Hands­on experience with multiple hardware environments, including deployments on Windows, Linux, and/or UNIX

Knowledge of database disk configurations, RAID level and its impact on performance.

In depth knowledge in leading large scale performance benchmark executions in global setup.

Good exposure on handling customer reported performance bottlenecks and timely resolution.

Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Excellent in systematic problem analysis and resolution.

Excellent collaboration skills

Hard worker with global exposure.

9+ years of experience in application performance NFR & benchmarking execution.

Good exposure on Analytic models of application performance.

Highly desired qualifications:

Experience in tuning Production Databases/Systems.

Previous experience in the payments or financial services industries highly desired.

In depth knowledge in application testing, analysis and tuning for better performance, scalability and availability

Good understanding/ hands on experience on, Solaris/Unix environments
