Job Description

• 8-10 years IT operations experience with a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
• 5-8 years Microsoft SQL Server experience with MS certified SQL Server training/accreditation.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008. Includes (but not limited to) use of Enterprise Management Studio, SSIS/DTS, SQL Agent Job management and SQL Server Profiler (output and templates.)
• Experience with the administration, tuning and management of high volume database environments and understanding/experience with server-client computing and relational database environments, including best practices for management and administration.
• Experience supporting Reporting and Query Tools, troubleshooting and optimizing Stored Procedures and resulting Execution Plans/Indexing.
• Experience creating and maintaining an extraction, transformation, and loading process from source systems or files into a data warehouse and other output mediums
• Familiarity with managing data in Microsoft Access and Excel.
• Understanding of XML helpful.
• Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• A desire to exceed project, client and co-worker expectations.
