Job Description :
The position is responsible for leading a team that specializes in Data Management, Design and Development. Position will liaison among multiple business stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to critical regulatory and compliance business applications, policies and information systems. Position is responsible for planning and estimating, status reporting, mentoring, performance management, development process and contribution to strategic direction for data management team.
Scope of work
Leadership :
• Acts as trusted advisor to Data Management domain. Develops and maintains project plans for all business analysis efforts.
• Manages direct reports and other matrix staff. This includes participating in interviewing, hiring and performance reviews. Schedules work of staff based on operation priorities, reviews work and mentors staff.
• Analyzes and assigns Change and Help Tickets related to new development requests and implementations.
• Reports, tracks and communicates status and issues, based on departmental defined reporting templates.
• Participates in the development of long range plans, strategy and roadmaps.
• Coordinates and provides impact analysis on new projects.
• Provides guidance to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve the project objectives using manual processes or software tools.
• Drafts communication plans for projects and operational needs and maintains list of individuals and groups who are recipients of communications
Business Analysis :
• Overall responsibility for the business analysis and requirements specification in waterfall and agile environment.
• Actively elicit, analyze, develop, validate and manage requirements during the whole project life cycle as well as to challenge business requirements during elicitation. Sharp focus on defining and agreeing a clear scope together with business.
• Strong engagement in finding appropriate detail solution together with business based on their requirements and with focus on feasibility and overall project plan.
• Opportunity to review high-level design and test cases to ensure alignment to requirements as well as to proactively identify areas of improvement (in process, product or project).
Technical or other skills :
• 5+ years of business analysis experience in a banking/financial environment. Extensive experience gathering and documenting system requirements for information technology projects.
• Extensive experience gathering and documenting system functional design for information technology projects.
• Deep knowledge of ORACLE SQL and banking and securities trading.
• A structured and organized approach to Requirement Management.
• Able to manage working and organizing themselves in a pressured and changing environment.
• Knowledge and experience of working in a Data Warehousing environment would be advantageous.
• Knowledge and experience of working in a compliance environment would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, Fluent in English (verbal & written).
• University degree in Computer Science, Economics or equivalent
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to interact effectively with internal and external clients, peers, management and cross-functional areas, to clearly and concisely communicate (written and oral) technical information to non-technical audience, to use relationship development skills and facilitation skills with both technical and non-technical personnel.
