-- My client is looking for a consultant for a Network Architect, for a 6 months contract in Deer Park, NY.
- Designs network and firewall security system infrastructures. Leads configuration, tracking and maintenance of physical and logical network components across our global footprint.
- Develops new network architectures for ours LAN/WAN/wireless/VoIP environments while also documenting and maintaining as-builts. Experienced working on mobility solutions and services.
- Maintains network and systems performance metrics and tracks performance against SLAs.
- Performs network system capacity and resource planning, assessing network risks and contingency scenarios. Leads infrastructure Disaster Recovery exercises and planning by working closely with the various business units, BCP and IT Operations areas.
- Implements and maintains production infrastructure and software assets including network management software while researching & analyzing software patches or hardware changes to address any network deficiencies.
- Supports security device configuration designs and implementations working closely with security architects and operations personnel.
- Provides daily operations support, maintenance and administration for network systems. Works on one or more projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader.
