TITLE: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Glendale,CA
Duration:3+ Months contract
Max pay rate is $55/ per hour on C2C
The Senior Software Engineer will be a highly skilled team lead to oversee a team and project. As an experienced engineer, they will focus on guiding Engineers on code development and implementation. As a self-starter, they will work without supervision and serve as a technical mentor to other engineers on the team.
They will write code and understand the relationship of code to the entire product or technical system. They will be a skilled programmer with one or two areas of expert proficiency (Unity, iOS, Objective-C) and have the ability to pick up on new areas rapidly. They will be able to carry out assignments that have not been done before. They will know the entire product development cycle.
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing, writing and debugging code for assigned complex software programming projects. They will design, develop, write, test and implement code and work with designers, artists and other personnel involved in product development.
They will also have a comprehensive understanding of current software applications.
5+ years relevant professional game industry programming experience
BA in Programming, Computer Science, math or other related disciplines such as Game Design
Solid, senior engineering skills directly applicable to iPhone development
Experience leading the work of a team of engineers
Excellent analytical and debugging skills
Have handheld and/or console experience
Experience with Math and memory optimization
Strong knowledge of C/C++ and OpenGL
Strong knowledge of Objective C / Java a plus
Strong knowledge of Unity
Familiarity with 2D/3D animation and versioning software
Cross platform experience * Maya, Android, Perforce a plus
Experience in working with mobile devices (iPhone/iPad, Android, Blackberry)
Experience working with and leading a team, ideally on a shipping product
Able to multi-task like a pro
Knowledge of production and dev tools, such as OpenGL, DirectX, Perforce, Visual Studio
