Required Skills
Experience in Hadoop big data platform (Hortonworks is a BIG plus. Cloudera is also a consideration)
Experience in Hadoop sofware installs and upgrades
Experience in working with Linux Platform (Red Hat)
Ability to setup High Availability for HUE/HDFS Name Node and data node
Good knowledge in shell scripting
Strong in troubleshooting skills for performance issues and implementing the solutions
Needs to be a good team player and work independently
Experience in working with various types of customers that include business analysts, data modelers and developers
Ability to prepare documentation on the product implementation and any other SOPs
Strong verbal and writtten communication skills
Desired Skills
Experience with Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) resources such as HIve, HDFS, PIG, HBase, and Ambari
Good knowledge in working with Linux operating systems
