Project Description: Need of an EDI Programmer Analyst for a 6+ month contract engagement. Primary focus will be to take responsibility for ongoing development & coding of Medical EDI transaction codes. Will also handle Bug triage within the Blaze Advisor v6.9 Rules Engine, part of Soarian Financials CRDT: open issues, formatting issues, troubleshooting and identifying the root cause. Will then develop and code based on outcome.

Technical Environment:

•Sharepoint site for the Programmers to discuss CRDT development

•CRDT software runs on Blaze Software. Client is on Blaze Advisor v6.9.

•SAP format EC Gateway – external translator product

•SQL

•Soarian Financials CRDT runs on SQL Server Database. Client is currently on Soarian Financials v3.4.100 and are going to v3.4.200 with a Go-Live scheduled for mid-October.

•Blaze software (Blaze Rule Engine) used by CRDT product (Siemens created)

•Healthcare EDI: ANSI X12 835, 837I, 270, 271, 275, 276 & 277

Day to day responsibilities:

•Will communicate with the EDI team and also the financial business team to gather and walk through requirements in a bi-weekly meeting.

•Siemens CRDT applications have monthly releases that need to be developed in a monthly cycle. The team develops 2 application releases per month.

•Will provide maintenance and support to these application releases.

•All development work will keep the existing process and fix.

•There are a large amount of claims that are in a specific EDI format. The format per claim varies per payor and are constantly evolving/changing. The system will send a change prompt for an update on the claim formatting.

•The contractor will be responsible for developing/code changes of these EDI claims.

•When the consultant arrives in the morning, they will open their cue in Blaze Advisor. The cases they will handle are as follows in order of volume the client sees:

1.837I claims transactions

2.835 for remits

3.270 and 271 eligibility transactions.

4.276 and 277 for payor eligibility transactions

•Analyst Work:

•Bug Triage: Handle open issues, format issues reported, enter system and identify the root cause.

•Ideally take to 2nd step and develop/code change.

•Release Work:

•Team approach to review and confirm requirements on new requests.

•Take requirements, find best way to approach and code.

Required Skills:

•Previous experience programming and analyzing claims in Blaze Advisor (aka Blaze Rule Engine, a CRDT tool within Siemens Soarian Financials)

•Healthcare claims EDI transaction knowledge - ANSI X12 835, 837I, 270, 271, 275, 276 & 277

•Formatting, fields & familiar with data

•Any type of External EDI translator product such as SAP format; EC Gateway

•Soarian Financials – CRDT
