Details Of Requirement
Role	Developer C++
Key Words	• Embedded Systems Development • C++ Expertise • Application/Middleware development • Experience with Linux and other industry standard operating systems, compilers, debuggers, source-code control systems and bug trackers • Set-top box development experience • Knowledge of XML, COM, http, UPnP, networking, databases, and graphics APIs • Access to Live QAM/IP Streams, VOD, and Recorded content in an ARRIS facility
Mandatory  Skills	• Experience with industry standard protocols and SW technologies such as XML, COM, http, UPnP, DLNA, networking, databases, and graphics APIs. • Experience with Linux and other industry standard operating systems, compilers, debuggers, source-code control systems and bug trackers. • Experience with Linux and other industry standard operating systems, compilers, debuggers, source-code control systems and bug trackers. • Experience with networking, multithreading, and thread synchronization. • Experience with performance optimization, debugging, and frameworks development. • Ability to acquire new application knowledge and implement leading edge technologies in a complex environment. • Ability to interface with other functions (hardware, test, etc) during the development process. • Up-to-date on new networking and cable-related technologies. • Prefer expertise in design and development of client applications for cable or IPTV set-top boxes. • Candidate must have effective verbal and written communication skills. • 6-10 years Architecture and Application Development, preferably in the Cable or Telecommunications industries.
Desirable Technical Skills	Develop and maintain leading edge consumer applications. • Serve as Software Technical Lead and Core Team member for the design and development of complex products. • Design and develop software based on requirements specifications. • Generate required product development documentation. • Participate in source code control and software release activities as required. • Independently resolve technical problems, initiating design changes and providing engineering support to assess customer needs and solve field issues. • Communicate project status, issues, and requirements both verbally and in writing.
