Position:Technical Lead (DWH, Master Data Management) (GC & Citizens Prefers)

Location:Buffalo, NY

Duration: 11 Months

Responsibilities: 
Primary responsibility is for the management of data analysts who perform end to end data sourcing, data delivery and production support including requirements, mapping, modeling, and testing in an Enterprise Data Management environment (Warehouse, Master Data Management).

• Primary responsibility to perform tasks necessary to support the data centric technical activities such as data profiling, data mapping, modeling, and testing.
• Develops team as a knowledge asset of source system data, enterprise data, and business data needs. Manage and oversee the execution of project plans, ensures adherence to all department and technology standards and procedures, including all documentation requirements.
• Perform and oversee application functionality and testing efforts, including the review of business requirements, functional specifications, preparation and execution of testing; may be called upon to coordinate the completion of integrated testing efforts.
• Recommends designs based on business requirements. Identifies issues and concerns.
• Ability to act as a client liaison to review priorities and manage the overall client queue.
• Builds rapport within the organization.
• Effectively communicate and develop a professional level of cooperation across the organization.
• Maintain efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications.
• Recommends new technology, policies or processes to benefit the organization and improve deficiencies.
• Typically will provide functional feedback on current or proposed vendor software.
• Complete status reports and must be able to present projects, status or activities to senior management.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the business environment and needs within the area of responsibility.
• Ability to understand technical, business and operational impacts of a project or problem.
• Responsible for the job growth and career development of staff members by providing training plans, guidance and sharing knowledge.
• Recommend and initiate new policies and procedures that will improve the performance and effectiveness of the department.
• Consistently monitor scope of project to ensure the project stays within scope and meets Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
• Ensure that SDM (Software Development Methodology)/ PMM (Project Management Methodology) process and documentation is followed.
• Management of all activities related to the successful planning, documenting, testing and implementation of all work performed by the team, whether by the request of the client, internal to the department or the result of a problem relating to an application.
• Provide detailed direction and performs specialized analysis and research of systems modifications to solve any scope problem or enhancement. 

Required Skills: 

• Senior/Lead data analysis experience
• Experience an Enterprise Data Management environment (Warehouse, Master Data Management).
