Project Description: The UX Architect is a key contributor in the shaping of customer experiences within their assigned area of client's online experience (mobile, tablet, desktop).
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Creates documentation to support the team's work effort, including wireframes, sketches, sitemaps, process flows, low and high fidelity prototypes and other similar artifacts
· Collaborates and supports a cross-functional team that includes other UX Architects, Designers, Copywriters, Developers (front end and back end), Product Managers, business partners and other key stakeholders
· Effectively translate customer, business and product requirements into a cohesive and consistent customer experience
· Presents completed and in-process work to key stakeholders and peers to solicit feedback and attain necessary approvals
· Advocates and promotes the customer experience across all device types (mobile, tablet, desktop)
· Works with the UX Lead and Product to help identify testing and research needs
· Passionately champions the customer experience
· Participates in user acceptance testing efforts
Normal Day: 30% meetings and 70% work with writers, designers and developers and project team
Skills and Competencies:
· 2 – 4 Years or more of relevant work experience as an Information Architect, User Experience Architect or similar role.
· Proficiency with wire framing and prototyping tools (Axure is preferred)
· A passion for continuous improvement of the customer experience and an insatiable curiosity when digging into work and challenges.
· A demonstrated understanding of user-centered design principles and techniques
· An ability to translate business and product requirements into a cohesive and consistent customer experience
· Experience with the creation of a wide range of deliverables including sketches, wireframes, sitemaps, process flows, low and high fidelity prototypes and other similar artifacts
· Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills as well as the ability to articulate ideas effectively
· Experience advocating and promoting the customer experience across all device types (mobile, tablet, desktop)
· Proven capacity to efficiently prioritize work and requirements across multiple projects with minimal direct oversight in a collaborative, cross-functional and dynamic team environment while working to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in related field
Experience working within a large organization
Experience working with responsive and/or adaptive design
An understanding of accessibility design issues.
