This is our direct-client opening for a Hadoop Engineer for a long-term contract position based outside Philadelphia, PA. Our client can only entertain US Citizens or Green Card Holders and this can be a remote position.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and develop leveraging Hortonworks Hadoop technology stack.
Participate in other projects or duties.
Qualifications
Four year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent education/ work experience.
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in big data engineering.
Experience with Apache Hive, Apache HBase, MapReduce.
Experience with Java.
Knowledge of cloud computing infrastructure - Amazon AWS (EC2, S3).
Experience with BI tools (Cognos, Tableau).
Skill set: Hortonworks Hadoop, Hive Hbase, MapReduce, Java, Apache Phoenix, JDBC.
