Location: St Paul, MN or Sylmar, CA
Duration: 1 Year contract

Qualified Candidates:
#1 - A minimum of eight plus years of technical experience in server, network or system operations including direct experience in a medium to large sized server environment.
#2 - Must possess demonstrated knowledge and application of advanced concepts and practices in two or more server operating systems, server hardware, file system concepts and management.
#3 - A relevant advanced degree and/or appropriate professional certification, i.e., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Cisco Networking certifications. Ability to program in an administrative language (e.g., Perl, shell scripting).
#4 - All candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence within and across organizations, functions and business areas, as well as excellent analytical, presentation, and organizational skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines and work independently
.

Job Duties:
Oversees, operates and maintains existing IT asset monitoring systems and their components. Administer all windows (OS) servers including Active Directory, MS Exchange, RightFax, BizTalk, and SQL.
Utilizes monitoring systems to monitor complex heterogeneous IT assets including servers, operating systems and software to detect abnormalities in the system quickly. Works closely with monitoring team to create dashboards and necessary reports as required
Follows established checklists, Departmental Work Instructions (DWI's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and complies with other related policies and procedures.
Executes operational and support tasks; completes associated ticket and status reporting. Completes change requests, incident reports, checklists and other documentation as required. Writes and creates DWI, and procedures as directed. Assist with compliance audits as required. Generates and interprets historical monitoring reports, including alert, outage, bandwidth, and performance reports. Drafts proposals and/or papers, acts as a vendor liaison, and conducts presentations to customer or client audiences as well as professional peers.
Designs/implements server environments including Virtualization
Remains current on developments in field(s) of expertise as well as knowledge of the company's products, markets, objectives, and industry trends. Maintains an extensive and in-depth knowledge of existing and upcoming developments within the IT field through literature, journals, associations, and by attending conferences.
Work closely with Networking administrators to setup F5's, Firewalls, for new server roll outs and enhancements to existing servers
Works with considerable latitude in determining operational objectives, reports on status of reaching those objectives.
Works with management to ensure that all appropriate budget and cost containment policies are adhered to.
Establish trust and credibility at all levels of the organization.
Provide effective written and verbal communications.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent. Typically a minimum of eight plus years of technical experience in server, network or system operations including direct experience in a medium to large sized server environment.
Desired Requirements: A relevant advanced degree and/or appropriate professional certification, i.e., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Cisco Networking certifications. Ability to program in an administrative language (e.g., Perl, shell scripting).
Must possess demonstrated knowledge and application of advanced concepts and practices in two or more server operating systems, server hardware, file system concepts and management.
Broad cross-disciplinary perspective with demonstrated competency in two or more of key IT technologies (e.g., server operating systems, network, storage/SAN, system backups, security, telephony, Internet-based infrastructure, public facing systems).
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with data communications/ networking, and security implementation.
Strong (OS) Operating System administration experience in Windows. Periodic patching of systems, automation of rout
Installation and administration of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Right Fax, BizTalk.
Administration and troubleshooting of PKI certificate management and implementation in a farm of CA servers along with Root CA server. Granular troubleshooting to identify any choke points from the fielded units authenticating to the CA servers.
Must be able to respond quickly and debug Incidents and develop strategies to prevent them from reoccurring, monitoring improvements.
Learn operational procedures and must be ready to respond to Disaster Recovery situations for the supported applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence within and across organizations, functions and business areas.
Must be able to manage an assignment from start to completion; must be adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner and meeting assigned deadlines.
Ability to use discretion and handle sensitive/confidential information. Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies, and tasks.
Must possess advanced computer skills including; familiarity with system management tools and utilities, spreadsheets and document applications, communication tools, and other directly relevant applications.
