This position is to provide Operation and Maintenance (O&M) and project support for large mission 
critical databases. The work pace is fast and the work challenging! This position requires 
occasional weekend and after hours support and the DBA must carry a cell phone. The DBA will 
also be required to provide 24/hr support on a rotating basis. 


Operation Responsibilities: 
Provide day-to-day O&M database services defined by DA organization. Provide support for DA 
on-call. 
Look for opportunities and work with other DBAs to improve efficiency in database administration. 
Review architecture and infrastructure of existing database systems. Make suggestions for 
improvement within budget if needed and provide status to DA management and application 
owners. Collaborates with cross functional team on resolving challenges and provide solutions for 
database problems. 
Provide coaching for other DBAs to improve their technical skills and work processes, and provide 
feedback for other DBAs performance. 
Provide training to clients, application teams, or other cross functional teams for database 
knowledge.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications 
*Minimum 8+ years of job related experience in Database Technology. 
*Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with Oracle 11G/12c RAC, ASM, CRS. 
*Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with VLDB (at least 10 Terabytes) performance tuning 
*Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with data warehouse administration.
*Experience and proficient with Oracle Grid Control, RMAN and Data Guard. Proficient with Oracle 
11G /12c database features 
*Expert knowledge of relational database design 
*Experience with Perl or Unix shell scripting or Jython with EMCLI 
*Experience supporting operational 24 X 7 production databases 
Desired: 
*Oracle RDBMS certification – OCP
