JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Assists with the design, development and maintenance of the computer and network infrastructure.
· Typically has at least three (3) years' experience and professional degree.
· In-depth experience in Network Security technology architecture design, evaluation, deployment or support that addresses one or more of the following security areas: Firewalls, VPN, Authentication, Encryption, Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Analysis, Intrusion Detection.
· Expert in supporting Checkpoint/Solaris firewalls in a high-availability enterprise environment. Strong Checkpoint, Solaris and Cisco network skills.
Additional Comments:
· The Network Design Engineer (Datacenter Specialization) position will assist the company's team IT with the design and installation of networking technologies, with a focus in datacenter networking.
· The position will include work such being a member of a global team that gathers technical requirements, evaluates architectures and data center technologies, develops data center migration plans and performs technical analysis of networking failures.
· The position will require working on designs outside of the datacenter (remote branch offices) as time allows.
· Must be an expert in datacenter architectures / networking technologies and their related pros and cons
· Must be very knowledgeable in both Cisco and Juniper DC network technologies their architectures, design, configuration and operations
· Must be strong designing route/switch DC solution, and have an understanding of industry security practices
· Should have been involved in a major deployment or refresh of a datacenter in last 6 yrs

Requirements for Candidates for the Network Infrastructure Design Engineer (Datacenter Specialization) position:
· Must be an expert in datacenter architectures and their related pros and cons
· Must be an expert in datacenter networking technologies
· Must be very knowledgeable in both Cisco and Juniper DC network technologies their design, configuration and operations
· Should have been involved in a major deployment or refresh of a datacenter using Cisco technology in the last 6 years
· Should have been involved in a major deployment or refresh of a datacenter using Juniper technology in the last 6 years
· Should be knowledgeable in Wide Area Optimization solutions and its technologies in the datacenter
· Should be knowledgeable on routing protocols (ISIS, BGP) and VRF technologies implemented on Cisco technology
· Should have some knowledge in datacenter storage technologies (example FCOE) and related design considerations
· A strong candidate will have a CCIE-Data Center certification
