Job Title : Sr. Java Developer

Location : Downtown Boston MA

Duration : 6+ Months. 

Client will require In-Person interview after Phone Screen.

 

Key Skills:

        Looking for someone with strong distributed computing

        Drools and Activiti are strong pluses

 

•         Design and develop new features in our world-class, next generation PaaS offering.

•         Technical leadership in teams.

•         Build enterprise class software using Java, spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, MySQL, Elastic Search and MongoDB.

•         Hands-on coding, debugging, testing across all aspects of the software.

•         Active technical leadership throughout the entire development process, including requirement reviews, development, deployment, setting up environments; documenting release notes and configuration details.

•         Responsible for quality of the code; review test plans with QA and drive the code reviews within the team; collaborate with the QA automation team.

•         Develop strong expertise in one or more modules of the product.

•         Effectively communicate status, metrics, and issues on a regular basis.

•         Mentor junior engineers.

 

Your Experience and Know-How:

•         Prior experience in a growth company

•         Experience developing commercial SaaS applications

•         8+ years of Java development experience; 5 + years of J2EE programming experience, including Servlets, JSP, Web services, Spring, MySQL, NoSQL technologies

•         Strong Unix, Linux skills

•         Business Process Management and workflow system such as Activiti

•         Business Rules management system such as Drools.

•         Ability to learn quickly and stay current with new technologies

•         Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

•         Familiarity with messaging frameworks such as RabbitMQ

•         Cloud services experience (AWS, Rackspace, etc.) including auto-scaling and runtime automation

•         Ability to work seamlessly as part of a multi-site, multicultural development team

•         Strong team player with excellent written and verbal skills

•         Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment

Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent
