Multiple Year contract

40-42 $/hr. c2c

 

Looking for network engineers to work on the firewall team.

 

Responsibilities:

 

This position will be part of a Network Security Management team supporting Business and Technology initiatives. The primary responsibilities will be to analyze/validate requests and configurations and to configure the supported platforms to meet the goals. This will include access control list review/planning, route and NAT features along with providing any needed analysis support with any access issues. This individual will assist with reviewing existing tools, applications and processes to help strengthen and optimize current capabilities, as well as identify any gaps or technical solutions to further enhance the team's effectiveness. Additionally, the successful candidate will support leadership, business and technology teams with technical recommendations, documentation and reporting. Extensive knowledge of firewalls, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS and troubleshooting techniques is required.

 

Must have's" (this is the experience required – need a technical write up for the must have):

 

•                  -Cisco Router/Switch experience

•                  -Cisco IOS experience

•                  -Cisco ASA experience (flexible here)

•                  -Experience with Cisco ASA5505 (less preferred)

•                  -Experience with Cisco ASA5520 and above (flexible here)

•                  -CCNA (sort of flexible here)

•                  -Good Communication/Customer-facing skills

•                  -Willingness to learn new technology

•                  -Flexibility on work hours as needed

•                  -Quick learner

•                  -Core/Distribution/Access layer knowledge

•                  -Enterprise network experience (flexible here)

•                  -No reservations about being on pager shifts (on-call)

•                  -ability to manually trace through network devices in a network (not using traceroute)

 

Good to have: (if they have 1 or 2 that will be good)

 

•                  -Cisco Nexus  experience

•                  -Palo Alto experience

•                  -CCNP

•                  -Service now or other enterprise ticketing experience

•                  -Spectrum or any device monitoring experience

•                  -Scripting (python, etc.) for making network tasks efficient/automated

 

Additional Pluses:

 

•                  -F5 experience

•                  -NAT experience
