Job Title  : SQL DBA

Location  : Wellesley, MA 

Duration  : 6-12 Months Contract

Interview : Phone & Skype

 

Job Description:

Manage development, and test Microsoft SQL Server 2012/14 database platforms in an enterprise datacenter environment which includes:

SQL Server administration and configuration management

SQL server installation and patch management

Database backup/recovery planning, implementation, documentation, testing, and management

Database performance monitoring, evaluation, and tuning

Acting as the deployment and configuration manager to optimize and standardize the deployment of SQL code

Work with application and database vendors on both project and operational issues.

Work with application teams to provide support for new applications including new database development, test environment refreshes from production, stored procedure development, and SQL performance tuning.

Interact with the system and network infrastructure and application teams to maintain a highly available data platform; provide uninterrupted database services to the application and user community.

Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
