General Description Vision

 

We're seeking an experienced engineer in the development of high-performance, low-power GPU top level design.  Responsibilities will include close coordination with the architecture development team, writing a μ-Architecture specification and proceeding directly to a detailed RTL design.  Candidate will also interact with verification, power, and performance teams.

 

Responsibilities Include:

·         The successful candidate shall work in System Verilog RTL and develop a complete set of modules for the GPU top level integration and the related documentation.  Specifically,

·         Generate micro-architecture specifications of major Graphic Processor blocks by close interaction peer RTL groups, with architects, and verification engineers.

·         Generate quality RTL, which is well-documented, structural, synthesis-friendly, and power-efficient.

·         Debug, fix, and validate pre- and post-silicon sub-system(s) logic issues and bugs (both in RTL and gate-levelnetlists)

 

Experience Requirements:

 

·         Educational Degree: MS/PhD CS/EE or relevant field

·         Min. years overall: 7+ years of industrial experience after MS -OR-10+ of industrial experience after BS degree.

 

The qualified candidate will possess the following:

·         Proven microarchitecture design experience of major functional blocks

·         Expert-level Verilog / System Verilog coding skill for the quality RTL expected

·         High-level programming skills of scripting languages (Perl, Python, or other), and C/C++

·         Solid understanding and knowledge of Synopsys synthesis tools and clock gating methodologies

·         Good understanding of RTL verification flow and environments (e.g., UVM/OVM, hardware modeling, assertions and formal verification)

·         Good understanding of VLSI design and EDA tools such as Synopsys DC, ICC, PrimeTime and PTPX

·         Good written/verbal communication skills, strong team work

·         Motivated, self-directed and able to work effectively, both independently and in a team.

 

Optional Skills

 

Background in computer graphics with familiarity with overall graphics pipeline
