Position:            Java Tech lead

Location:             Charlotte NC

Duration:             6 Months

 

Responsibilities:

•                 Leading the design and development of java based web services in a SOA

•                 Identify and manage dependencies and downstream impacts of the application to minimize adverse effects on other projects and / or programs

•                 Lead code reviews and allocation of development staff across new project development, defect management and production support

•                 Lead design sessions within the development team and serve as development point of contact for requirement analysis and estimation

•                 Manage day to day technical challenges and communicate to manager any risks or issues associated with the development activities

•                 Identify opportunities for system reuse and system simplification

•                 Utilize and monitor internal performance monitoring for continuous improvement in code quality and delivery

 

Required Skills:

•                 Database Design skills (includes Analytics / BI with Tableau, MongoDB, MySQL)

•                 7+ years of experience as a software engineer/programmer with Java/ J2EE / Data

•                 Strong understanding of Spring, Spring Integration and service oriented architectures

•                 Strong background working on projects using Agile methodologies

•                 Experience with workflow systems, unit tests

 

Desired Skills:

•             Test Driven Design or Development

•             Java, EJB, Servlets, JDBC

•             Spring Framework (Spring, Spring Security, Spring Integration, Spring Data, Spring AOP etc..)

•             REST and SOAP service development (Jersey)

•             Coherence Cache and GRID implementation

•             Spring Batch

•             XML, XSL, XSLT, XSD, JAXB

•             Apache Tomcat, WebLogic

•             Oracle, PL/SQL

•             Gradle

•             jUnit and mocking frameworks

•             Source control systems such as Rational Team Concert

•             SOAP UI Testing preferred.
