Security Engineer

Location: Watsonville, CA (F2F interview, Need locals only)

Duration: 6 Months+

 

Qualifications

• A combination of education (B.S. Computer Science preferred), experience, certifications, and training (ISC(2), ISACA, or GIAC certifications are highly desirable)
• 4 – 6 years of experience with security engineering, to include design, configuration, setup, and management of IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and FIM technologies.
• Added value will be placed on candidates with extensive knowledge with Palo Alto Networks, Rapid7, Alert Logic, Imperva, and OSSEC solutions
• Experience in analyzing IDS and IPS sensors
• Experience interpreting sensor logs and applying changes to the IDS/IPS based on best practices and following security guidelines
• Experience helping the business determine requirements for specific IDS/IPS policies
• Experience with Web Application Firewalls
• Experience with Enterprise – level network design, engineering, and architecture
• Experience with Sarbanes – Oxley, PCI, PII, SSAE – 16, COBIT, and ISO 27001/27002
• Experience with Incident Response efforts
• Excellent communication skills (oral/written)
