The job opening is for a Senior Developer who will work across various global initiatives supporting the enhancements required in the US Regulatory and Financial Control business functions to accommodate the new provisions mandated by the Federal

Main Duties

The individual will have responsibility to:

·         Sr Oracle Developer with good PL / SQL and Unix skills

·         Create Physical data models using industry standard tools, e.g. ER/Studio

·         Code packages,  functions, stored procedures, views in Oracle PL/SQL

·         Performance/Tuning of Oracle SQL

·         Physical architecture of database tables, partitions, load balancing, parallel queries, etc.

·         Code Review of stored procedures and scripts written by other team members

Person Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Experience:

·         Solid understanding of  Oracle 10/11g from a Development perspective

·         Solid understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Mart concepts with proven experience in both

·         Expertise in SQL and PL SQL, Scheduler (i.e., Autosys)

·         Strong Oracle performance tuning experience preferably in the data warehouse space

·         Strong Data modeling background with emphasis on Physical modeling

·         Physical architecture (partitioning, cluster)

·         Working with large databases - multi terabytes

·         Unix /Linux command line interface and shell / perl scripting

·         Data Modeling skills using standard tools: ER/Studio, ERWin, Enterprise Architect

·         Interpretation and understanding of functional specifications

·         Writing technical design documents, adhering to firm standards

·         Source code control tools such as Perforce

·         Data sourcing, adjustments and calculation of capital for Counterparty, General Market, Specific Market, and Issuer / Concentration Risk

·         Various global and local Tax functions and reporting

·         Core components of the target state architecture
