Job Overview
Reporting to the Agile Coach, the Scrum Master plays a key role in ensuring the
Scrum framework is used as intended, and helping the teams meet their commitments.
The Scrum Master will ensure the teams understand Scrum, remove impediments for the team and foster self-organization with the teams.
The Scrum Master will act as a mentor to the team in various areas of Agile.

Job Responsibilities
Facilitate the Scrum Events – Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives
Provide support to Scrum team members, Product Owners, and business stakeholders
Ensure software development lifecycle processes are followed and supports continuous improvements
Ensure business processes are inspected and adapted accordingly
Ensure that the team's progress is updated daily through the team's status board to provide visibility to the organization
Promote a collaborative team environment that foster's creativity, innovation, transparency, and self-organization.
Promote continuous improvement and help teams increase productivity and foster innovation
Mentor team members on Agile principles and practices
Continuous communication with PowerAdvocate's leadership on where Agile Methodologies could improve project delivery
Work with business unit leaders throughout the company to deploy scrum/agile continuous process improvement processes
Job Qualifications
Understanding of Scrum and Agile Methodologies
Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle
Strong facilitation skills in leading planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision and with other department personnel in a time sensitive work environment
Strong time and priority management skills
Excellent verbal, written, and listening abilities
Excellent team player and team builder
Must be collaborative in driving decisions
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse personalities
Must be "self-motivated" as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
Desire to "do-what-it-takes" as part of a start-up environment
Ability to multi-task and deal with multiple projects and deadlines
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
