Role: DevOps Engineer with Informatica (Release Engineer)

Description:
- This position in the BI and Data Management team will work closely with the Solution Architects, BI Engineering Team, BI Developers, IT Support and other members of IT to define a release plan for all BI/Data Management projects.
- This role will be responsible for the successful execution of deployments during the test and release phases of the projects.
- This role will have to coordinate with multiple technology teams to ensure successful delivery.
Primary job responsibilities include:
- Assemble the deployment plans for the environment promotions – manage changes as changes/problems are identified in execution.
- Work across build and support teams to execute deployments, ensure post-validations are documented and then completed
- Manage list of configuration items (list of impacted code, etc.).
- What has been modified in current release?
- What is expected to be modified in upcoming release?
- Identify and organize individuals to address issues whey they occur.
- Plan with support and environment management teams to communicate the changes and ensure understanding of what is upcoming.
- Automate and optimize the software build and deployment process.
- Ensure that the build and deployment processes are following the best practices and are adhered to by the development teams.
- Ensure repeatability of the release management process for the development team.
- Educate the team on the best use of the build and deployment tools.
- Scale pipeline to support more project and developers.
- Leverage scripting to create automation and tool on a Ad Hoc basis.
Qualifications:
- Overall 8 - 10 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise with Linux, including scripting & performance.
- Expertise working with Oracle SQL & Informatica is a must.
- Ability to analyze and retrieve metadata from Informatica repository.
- Experience with Software Development Life Cycle as well experience with ETL processes.
- Demonstrate ability to solve problems and think logically and analytically.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business
