RESPONSIBILITIES:
Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Senior J2EE Developer / Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Providence, RI.
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health Solutions, Health and Social Service Solutions (HSSS) operating unit, an organization that serves the IT needs of state and local governments.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform system analysis, all phases of the software development lifecycle, quality assurance, change management, documentation, database and production support ;
- Design and develop system architectures, and define key capabilities and performance requirements;
- Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems;
- Define design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with the customer specifications; develop thorough definition of system external interfaces; defines system implementation approach and operational concept;
- Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, and maintenance of system security;
- Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies;
- Develops and recommends corrective actions. May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers;
Hours given as: 8:00am to 5:00pm Location: Providence RI 02908
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- A minimum of 10 years experience in system or software architecture and design;
- J2EE experience with knowledge of current web design principles and web application architecture;
- Experience with JBoss Application Server development;
- Understanding of SOA software development and architecture principles;
- Experience with Oracle;
- Experience with Requirements analysis, Software architecture, OOA&D;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Preferred Qualifications �€"
- Experience with and knowledge of human services programs, Child Support Enforcement/Eligibility/Benefits programs;
- Experience with UML object modeling;
- Experience developing in an Agile environment;
Education: Requires a BS in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution, however, the equivalent combination of experience and education will be accepted;
